What to wear now?
Prints clash, shoes glitter and your bag is about to get really, really tiny.
Welcome to our new-season styling guide
The sweetest shade has grown up for Summer 2015-2016. Check Gina’s exciting new uniform collection with the NOW colour– BLUSH.
Forget girlie, the new pink is subtle and sophisticated – wear it top to toe (see the dresses) or ease yourself in and try it as an accent to navy, grey and black suiting or soft knitted pieces.
Bring your work wear into summer with a splash of pretty print. Too Ladylike you say – Well, modernise and complement it by teaming with this new season’s accessories. It’s tempting to go plain and simple with your accessories when you’re wearing a pattern, but this season embrace the clash and pair quirky bright pieces with your prints.
We are suckers for a ruffle – There is something about a pretty bow or a flounce on a hemline that transforms plain clothes into something special – so rock the ruffle with Gina’s new range and feel frivolous and feminine.
The key is to use ruffles and bows as accents – a pussy bow blouse with a pair of tailored trousers, a waterfall cardigan over a classic top, or a flounced hem with a tailored jacket. Remember, there’s a ruffle out there for everyone – trust us, it’s time to put a frill on it!
SUITING AND SPORTY
On duty tailoring goes off duty as soon as you add trainers and a back pack. Get mileage out of your suit and choose printed pieces to give that business look a playful twist! Earn style points with printed hi tops in noisy animal prints.
A high shine bag with a crisp white shirt or a sparkly heel with tapered ankle grazer pants are a GO. Just a note: It’s DEFINITELY okay to wear glitter for day.
Try the new metallic mini bags – Come on gals, it’s time to detox your tote. Keys, phone, cardholder and lipstick – that’s all you can fit into the new tiny IT bags. Travel light for a change!!
TIP: As for inspiration and spoiling yourself (or a special gift for a stylish friend). The most covetable fashion books to pore over this month are:
